Week 3 check in

I was really good last week. I even managed to go jogging 3 times last week , however, Friday and Saturday were bad days for me. Friday, I eat breakfast as normal then I had a terrible graving for carbs. I made pasta for lunch, but I wanted to eat it at 10am! less than 2 hours after breakfast! Anyway, had my lunch and luckily I was on half day so I was able to eat dinner early. Unfortunately I was also catching up with a girl friend and we went to eat burgers and I couldn't resist some hand cut chips. I have to confess the burger was horrid, but it was bread! which I didn't realise I missed until then. 

Saturday was even worse. I work up and eat the pasta lunch I made the night before for breakfast at 7am!!! I went back to sleep and went for a jog. I managed to be good for the rest of the day but unfortunately, late in the evening, I needed Pizza.
Anyway, Sunday was a good day, so I hope I can maintain it for the rest of the week. No weight check yet.

Today my diet was as follows:

Breakfast
Two boiled eggs
Mid Morning
Rice & buckwheat porrage mixed with water and goats milk yogurt

Lunch
Prawn salad with two boiled eggs, a bit too much caesar dressing
A small hand full of nuts

Dinner
Pork & peas hotpot

End of week


So, I ended the week by going to the cinema and eating popcorn and Doritos, washed down with a fanta slushi on Sunday. I'm peed off at myself because I was really good in the morning!
I did manage to go jogging on both Saturday and Sunday.

Food combining

I started the food combining diet today. At the beginning of the year, I gave up cola ( only drank diet) coffee and tea.

Day 1
I had lemon juice with warm water when I woke up
30 minutes of jogging ( got a shin splint so hindered my jogging)
Breakfast - Half a melon
Lunch - Stir fry brown rice with bell peppers and onions
Dinner - pork stir fry with veg. It smelled and looked so good I had to take a photo.

This week is not going well at all!

I've been eating practically every hour this week and feel bloated. I'm due and my breasts feel like two huge heavy melons on my chest. They hurt so bad. Yesterday, I tried to have just chicken breasts for dinner but had to have some carbs. I had pasta and chicken breast plus my beloved shito.

Today, I had a good day up until dinner time. I was feeling really terrible, just had a heavy feeling in my head and needed to sleep. On the way home I got my chinese food craving so had to stop by for a take away. Eat that, feel awful as I always do after chinese food and now I'm wide awake as I always am after eating their MSG, salt overloaded food. Arraaaghh, I'm so mad at myself! Of course I've put on the 2lbs I lost last week. I'll force myself to go jogging this weekend and start my food combining diet.

Cravings

I had a terrible day today. It's 2 1/2 weeks until mother nature's visit and my customary cravings have started. Toast for breakfast wasn't too bad. Mid morning, a banana. A small handful of nuts to snack on. Ham Sandwich for lunch with low fat yogurt. A woman I work with asked me if I wanted to go for walk to the local supermarket. Well, it was downhill from there.
I eat two small chicken breast fillets. Fried of course. Similar to those chicken breast fillets you get in KFC
Next nuts

more nuts
Dinner - a small poached chicken breast fillet with peas. That didn't satisfy me 'cause I needed some carbs. I found brown rice chicken stir-fry I froze in the freezer and eat that.

Tomorrow, I have a dinner with my CEO. Not looking forward to that at all.

Checking in week 2

So, last week wasn't a great start to the week. I finished off the week on Sunday with a pretty terrible diet. Lots of brie and white bread, a glass of red wine tossed in for good measure and to top it off, I had a shish kebab with all the trimmings. I can still taste it now and it was goooooood.
I did manage to go jogging twice last week, and to shed 2lbs.

Not bad.

Anyway, today I arrived late at work, (well late for me, I'm usually in my 7.30-8am) and forgot to have breakfast. By about 10.30 I was hungry so made a trip to the local super market. Bad idea, the worst thing you can do is go to a food establishment when hungry because my stomach rules my head and I pick up everything bad I can think of to put in the basket.

However, today, I did okay in terms of resisting the bad and went with

- 2 bananas
- 1 150g pack of pistachios
- 1 small pot of Greek yogurt
- 1 medium pack of sushi
- 1 Trek coca bar brownie (12g protein, no sugar and fat free)
- 1 small bottle of Tropicana fruit juice

Seems okay right, well, not really. I eat everything minus 1 banana all through out the day. It felt like I eat every hour, which in reality, I did. Anyway, I'm full but not satisfied.
I need pasta or rice which I'm desperately trying to resist.
I'll make a protein dinner tonight. I've got plenty of chicken breast. I need to incorporate more fish into my diet. Problem is, it makes the flat stink!

Slapping my wrists






So, I was supposed to start my diet on Monday and go for a jog. I didn't. Monday was a strange day, I was healthy at work. Had two slices of toast for breakfast, a sandwich, fruit and yogurt for lunch, came home and I think I pretty much eat everything in the house. Not sure why, but I did.

Tuesday was a little better, again I was disciplined and had chicken breast with veg and two boiled eggs for dinner.

Today, again was a good day with a repeat of yesterday and I went for a jog after work. My stamina is shot to pieces, so it was more walk/jogging. No worries, plenty of time to get my fitness up. I was also thinking about my wedding. I've decided that I won't be wearing a traditional white dress. I suddenly got a vision of a yellow dress with yellow roses around the bust with some kente cloth woven in some how. I'm heading to Ghana in March to check out venues etc.

I had some gorgeous clothes made in Ghana when I was there and they are a little tight. It's motivated me to get slimmer

A girl at work mentioned to me the separation diet. The basic premise is to not combine carbs and protein. I have tried it in the past and it does work. I don't know if I could give up pasta or bread so the great thing about this is I can eat carbs. Yeah! I'll report back on progress.

A repeat of last year's resolution....

So, I ended last year at a whopping 12st 4lbs. I'm so big now that my friends have been asking if I'm pregnant. My breasts are huge and unfortunately so is my stomach. My grand ma said she was certain I was pregnant. I've always had a small waist so I think the added belly has been a big surprise to every one.

I hate how fat I am and yet at the start of the year, I was still in holiday mode and carried on eating as I had done the year before.

Tomorrow I start on my diet push. I've decided to keep my carb intake down and will only eat carbs for breakfast and lunch. Dinner will be grilled chicken or fish with veg. As horrid as this sounds, I'm desperate to finish the ice cream in the freezer. May as well since I'm not going to eat it again for the force able future. I'm not a big ice cream eater. I normally only buy it when it's on offer. Screw it, I'm going for it and I'll deal with the guilt tomorrow by jogging.
